Green Far West Project

The Green Far West Project is Raaika’s environmental awareness and plantation initiative in Nepal’s Far-Western region. It focuses on tree plantation, community participation, environmental conservation, wildlife habitat protection, and the idea that tourism should also give something back to the landscapes and communities it depends on.

The campaign began in 2010 and has involved local communities, community forest groups, schools, public offices and other local stakeholders in plantation and awareness activities.
